Pam Rhodes
View Biography
Pam Rhodes is one of the UK’s most beloved and acclaimed broadcasters. In 2020, she received the Thomas Cranmer Award for Worship from Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, “for her outstanding work in hosting Songs of Praise on the BBC for over 30 years.” Her weekly HEARTS AND HYMNS radio programmes on Premier Christian Radio, along with her ALL TOGETHER NOW programmes when Christians across the country are encouraged to sing along with some of our best-loved hymns and worship songs, are hugely popular with listeners.
A writer and novelist with a deep love for hymnody, Pam’s breadth of knowledge is reflected in her popular published works, and she was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Arts by the University of Bedfordshire in 2010 for her contribution to news journalism and charity work, which includes the role of Vice President of THE CHURCH ARMY, THE LEPROSY MISSION and LIVABILITY for disabled young people; and Patron of MHA (formerly Methodist Homes for the Aged), along with enthusiastic support for many others. She also makes many visits churches across the country to share singing and stories behind our favourite hymns.
